Strukt AI Pro Model — Room Names, Railings & Sliding Doors (2026)

Strukt's Pro model goes beyond wall detection: it reads room names from the plan, and detects balcony railings and sliding doors that the free model typically misses. Here's what the Pro model actually does differently and when it matters.

When you upload a floor plan to Strukt AI, you choose between two models: the free model and the Pro model. The free model is fast and works well for simple plans. The Pro model is built for professionals who need accuracy that holds up under real project conditions.

Here's exactly what the Pro model does differently — and when it's worth using.

What the Pro model detects that the free model misses

  • —Room name labels — the Pro model runs an OCR pass over the plan and reads text annotations like “Bedroom 1”, “Kitchen”, “Living Room”. Those labels are attached to the reconstructed rooms in the 3D model and carried through to exports. The free model treats the plan as pure geometry with no semantic understanding of what each space is.
  • —Balcony railings — the Pro model identifies and reconstructs low railings on balconies and terraces, which the free model typically skips or reads as solid walls. Critical for any plan with outdoor spaces.
  • —Sliding doors — floor plans represent sliding doors with a different symbol than hinged doors. The Pro model recognises the distinction and reconstructs them correctly. The free model often turns them into wall segments or misses the opening entirely.
  • —Complex multi-room layouts — on plans with more than five rooms, non-orthogonal walls, split levels, or irregular room shapes, the Pro model's extra read of the drawing (room labels, railings, sliding-door symbols) typically recovers detail the free model misses on the same plan.

What the Pro model actually changes, concretely

The difference is not a single accuracy score — it is specific symbols and labels the Pro model reads that the free model does not. A plan with balconies, sliding doors or named rooms comes out of the Pro model with that information attached to the 3D model; the same plan through the free model comes out as bare geometry, with railings read as walls and sliding-door openings sometimes missed.

The gap narrows on simple plans. A studio or one-bedroom layout with no balconies, no sliding doors and no room labels to read gets little benefit from the Pro model — the free model already reconstructs the geometry correctly. The Pro model earns its credits on plans with the features above, not on every plan equally.

When to use Pro vs. free

Use the free model for quick previews, simple layouts (studio, 1-bed), and exploring what the tool does. It's genuinely good for most common plans.

Use the Pro model when accuracy directly affects the output quality — professional client presentations, BIM/IFC exports for construction, off-plan sales materials, or any plan with balconies, sliding doors, or more than 5 rooms.

Pro model + first-person walkthrough

The extra detail matters most when you take the model further. A reconstruction with the rooms correctly proportioned and the balcony railings actually there holds up when you drop into first-person view (FPV). Walking through a space built from the Pro model feels like walking through the real building — not a rough approximation of it.

Combined with the HD path-traced render engine, the Pro model produces client-ready visuals that previously required a dedicated 3D modeling team. You upload the floor plan, Strukt reconstructs it at Pro accuracy, you furnish and style it, then capture renders or export to Blender or Revit — all from the same project.

How to try the Pro model

01

Upload your floor plan

Go to app.struktai.work and upload a PNG, JPG or WEBP image of your plan — even a photo of a hand-drawn plan works.

02

Select the Pro model at processing

When you click “Process Floorplan,” the model picker appears. Select Pro — it uses more credits but delivers the higher-accuracy reconstruction with room labels, railings and sliding doors.

03

Edit, render and export

The 3D model comes back with room names already attached, all openings correctly placed, and balcony railings in position. Edit what you need, render in HD, or export to GLB, BLEND, DAE or IFC.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between Strukt's free model and the Pro model?

The free model detects walls, doors and windows from the plan geometry. The Pro model additionally reads room name labels from the drawing, and detects balcony railings and sliding doors that the free model typically misses or turns into solid walls.

Why do balcony railings and sliding doors matter?

Floor plans draw railings and sliding doors with different symbols than solid walls and hinged doors. The free model reads geometry only, so it often turns a railing into a solid wall or misses a sliding door's opening. The Pro model recognises these symbols and reconstructs them correctly — it matters most for plans with balconies, terraces or glass sliding partitions.

Does the Pro model read room names from the floor plan?

Yes. The Pro model runs an OCR pass over the plan and associates detected text labels (bedroom, kitchen, living room, etc.) with their reconstructed rooms. Those labels appear in the 3D model and are exported with the file.

When should I use the Pro model instead of the free model?

Use Pro when accuracy matters — professional client presentations, BIM exports, off-plan sales, or any plan with more than 5 rooms, balconies, sliding doors, or non-standard wall layouts. The free model is fine for quick previews and simpler plans.
